Colliding Rivers Wayside
Colliding Rivers marks the spot where the North Umpqua and Little Rivers meet head-on, creating a beautiful natural phenomenon. Working within the character of the existing facility and respecting the drama of the environmental setting, the design includes a viewing area overlooking the rivers, new stone walls that blend seamlessly with those of the historic forest service facility, an accessible trail winding through native woodlands, and interpretive panels featuring natural, geologic, and historical elements.
